1 WFIEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (City), as part of its public improvement project to construct
2 Phalen Boulevard, is ln need of street and construction easements from property owners affected by said
3 project and;

5 WHEREAS, Chazles Rundquist and Kathleen Rundquist, a property owner affected by the above
6 mentioned project, has agreed to convey the necessary easement rights to the City for the completion of said
7 Phalen Boulevazd; so,
9 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials aze hereby authorized and directed
10 to accept the easement rights conveyance from Charles Rundquist and Kathleen Rundquist, to the City; and,

FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the easement zights conveyed, compensation in the amount of
Five Thousand Six Hundred Forty Eight Dollars ($5,648) will be paid to Chafles Rundquist and Kathleen
Rundquist this being a fair and reasonable value, Said sum to chazged to Activity Code: CPL C04-2S 146-

The City of Saint Paul plans to begin construction of the final phase of the Phalen Blvd. Projecc Before contracts maybe advertised and
awazded, the City must acquire the necessary property tights. As part of the acquisition process, the City must accept the dedication of
certain pazcels owned by Charles and Kathleen Rundquist. THis resolution provides the proper acceptance of this dedication.

The City will be able to secure a Right-of-Way Certificate from MnDot, which is required before the City can advertise for construction
bids. •

The City will be unable to commence with the roadway contract until necessart easemencs have been dedicated.
