On Wednesday, January 25, 1967, our committee appeared at a hearing on the proposed 1� � A�
landfill �ee schedules, conducted by Chief Engineer Gene Avery and urged that the s ,} ject �y� ��

be given further study. Since that time our coumittee has met frequently with � � :� i
Coffiissioner Peterson, Mr. Avery, and membera of their staff. # _ � I

The co�ittee supports the view that d�nping operations in Saint Paul should be upgraded. Y � �

Our concern is with fee achedules in relationship to operating costs. Many commerc al� �
� ' i ;
nduatrial haulers have annual contracts. Initiation of a fee system without f �11� , � �

evaluation could cause unnecessary grievances. The committee, after review of costh � I�

and traffic counts, also felt the fee scale was higher than needed to achieve fina cially. ��
