WHEREAS, adverse action was initiated against the Tree Trimmer & 1 Vehicle and Tree
Trimmer - Each Additional Vehicle licenses held by Aric Marehn, d/b/a Pleasant View Tree
Service, Ina (License ID#20040000373) for the City of Saint Paul by Notice of Intent to
Suspend Licenses dated November 8, 2005, alleging licensee failed to submit a current certificate
of General Liability insurance for the coverage period of June 6, 2005 through June 6, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses to
contest the allegation or submit the requested information; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses stated that if the licensee failed to
respond by November 18, 2005, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose
the recommended penalty; now therefore, be it

Dear Sir/Madam:
The Office of License, Inspections and Environmental protection has recommended
suspension of the Tree Trimmer & 1 Vehicle and Tree Triminer - Each Additional Vehicle
licenses held by Aric Mazehn, d/b/a Pleasant View Tree Service, Inc., for the City of Saint Paul.
The basis for the recommendaxion is as follows:
On October 5, 2005, you were sent a letter from the Office of License,
Inspections and Environmental Protection statin¢ that your licenses had
been placed on hold untii .yuu submitted a copy of a current certifieate of
General Liability insurance for the coverage period of June 6, 2�05 through
June 6, 2006.
You were �iven untii October 19, 2005 to submit the reguested document. As
of today's dafe, the information has not been received.
The Office of LIEP will recommended a suspension of your licenses until such time as the
required documents have been received.

At this time, you have three options on how to proceed:

Ifyou wish to continue to do business in the City of Sainx Paul, you may submit
the necessary infonnaiion to the Office of License, Inspections and Environmental
Protection at 8 Fotuth Street East, Suite 200, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101-1002 no
later than FYiday, Nove�ber 18, 2005. Information should be directed to the
attention of Christine Rozek.
2. If you wish to have a public hearing before the Saint Paul City Council, you will
need to send me a letter with a statement admitting the facts and requesting a
public hearing. We will need to receive your letter by PYiday, November 18,
2005. The matter will then be scheduled before the City Council for a public
hearing to detei�nine whether to suspend your licenses. You will have an
opporhinity to appear before the Council and make a statement on your own
behalf.
3• If you no longer wish to do business in the City of Saint Paul, you may send a
written statement to that effect to the Office of License, Inspections and
Environmental Protection, 8 Fourth Street East, Suite 200, St. Paul, Minnesota
55101-1002 no later than Friday, November 18, 2005. Information should be
directed to the attention of Christine Rozek.
If you have not contacted me by that date, I will assume that you are not contesting
the snspension of your licenses.
