Presented
1 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul hosted a delegation of Russian local govemment officials as part of
2 Connect/US — Russia and the Open World Pro�am; and

4 WHEREAS, the goal of the Open World: Local Government program is to provide experiences and
5 information that will enhance current work and future development of these visiting professionals; and

7 WHEREAS, the delegation's agenda was designed to provide an overview of Minnesota cities,
8 highlighting the challenges of budgeting, planning, marketing and housing to better understand a variety of
9 practical applications of the laws and policies at the local level; and
10
11 WHEREAS, the ConnectlUS — Russia ozganization wants to contribute $200 to the City of Saint Paul for
12 hosting the delegation; and
13
14 WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council want to thank Connect/US — Rnssia for their contribution of
15 $200

17 'IY3EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council on behalf of the citizens of Saint Paul, accepts the
18 contribution of $200 from Connect/US — Russia and the Open World Program.
