WHEREAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, and the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Bui.ldings,�
of the City of Saint Paul, has secured an agreement for the purchase of
that certai.n property described as follows:
West 2 of Lot 15 and all of Lot 14, Dougan and Curry*s
Adclition to the City of St Paul Ramsey Co Minn.
WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the site of the
proposed Mounds Playground, and the price at which the property may be
purchased is at the total amount of $1,800.00, a faix and reasonable price
aceording to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and
WHEREAS, said Committee has recommended the purchase �of said property at �
the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee sub-
mitted herewith; now, therefore, be it •
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of
Saint Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize
the purchase of the land described as:
West 2 of Lot 15 and all of Lot 14, Dougan and Curryts
Addition to the City of St Paul Ramsey Co Minn.
RESOLVED Further that the proper city officials are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to Archie T. and Ida Bishop, vendors of said property,
the sum of $1,800.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from
Playground Real Estate Fund 3700, upon their furnishing an abstract of
title continued to date evidencing good marketable title i.n Archie T. and
Ida Bishop, and the total payment to be made upon tender by said vendors
of an appropriate warranty deed conveying title to�said property to the
City of Saint Paul.

Gentlemen: �' �-'j
The City of Saint Paul, acting through its Valuation Engineer,
has negotiated to purchase certain property described as
f ollows:
West 2 of Lot 15 and all of Lot 14, Dougan and Curryts .
Addition to the City of St Paul Ramsey Co Minn.
The owners of the above described lands, Archie T. and Ida
Bishop, have accepted an offer tendered them by the City in
the amount of $1,800.00 as compensation for the sale of the
said land to the City.
This property, including land and improvements, is �needed by
the City of Saint Paul for the site of the proposed Mounds •
Playground. In view of the reasonable price for which it can
be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reason-
able market value thereof, we, the Committee on Lands, �.o
recommend to the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 that it
� authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of condemnation
proceedings at the price of $1,800.00 as negotiated with
the owners.
