1 WI-IEREAS, the City Council originally adopted Council File OS-668 on�3, 2005, which authorized the City to
2 demolish the property at 1002 Matilda Street within 15 days; and
3 WIIEREAS, Wally Nelson, through his rehabilitation company, has acquired the mortgage interest in the
4 property at 1002 Matilda Street, and is interested in rehabilitating the properiy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of amending Council File OS-668 to give WalIy Nelson time to
complete the work on the property; and
7 WHEREAS, Wally Nelson has submitted his Vacant Building Registration Form, paid the vacant building fees,
8 obtained a Code Compliance Inspection, posted the $2,000 performance bond and developed rehabilitafion
9 plans which have been approved by both the Vacant Building Program Manager and the Legislative Hearing
10 Officer; and
11 WI-IEREAS, Wally Nelson has begun to pull permits to begin the rehabilitation wark; now, therefore, be it
12 RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby stays the demolition authorized in Council File
13 OS-668 and grants Wally Nelson, Renovafion Inc., 90 days to complete the rehabilifation of fhe property.
