RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR A METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
TAX BASE REVITALIZATION GRANT FOR THE CRANE-ORDWAY PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing
Incentives Program for 2004 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make
application for funds under the Tax Base Revitalization Account; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council awarded the City a Tax Base Revitalization Account Grant Program grant
of $87,000 far the Crane-Ordway Building project; and
WHEREAS, the City has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance, and the institutional, managexial
and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul certifies that it has not violated any Federal, State or local laws pertaining
to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful or corrupt practice and that it
will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota has agreed to act as legal sponsor for the project contained in the
Tax Base Revitalization grant application submitted to the Met Council on May 3, 2004;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota hereby
approves the Tas Base Revitalization grant submitted to the Metropolitan Council on May 3, 2004 by the City
of Saint Paul for the Crane-Ordway site; and
BE IT FURTHER RE50LVED that the City of Saint Paul may enter into an agreement wifli it for the above-
referenced project, and that the City of Saint Paul certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and
regulation as stated in all contract agreements; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Deparhnent of Planning and Economic Development
is hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the
applicant, and
