the purchase of that certain property described as fo].laws;

; Center, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the tota.l
� a.mount of $8,000.00, a faix and reasonable price acoording to the appraisal
� obtained by the Committee on La,nds; and
� Wl�REAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the
'• price stated above, as evideneed by the letter of said Committee submitted

RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 •f the Charter of the City of Saint
+ � Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase
� of the lands described as:

' her f'urnishing ev�.dence of good marketa,ble title in the aforesaid vendor, and
the tota.l payment to be made upon tender by said paxty of appropriate deeds

Gentlemen:
� The City of Saint Pa.ul, acting through its Valuation En�ineer, has
� negotiated to purchase certain property described as follows:

. Lots Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13), except the east twenty-
two (22) feet, two (2) inches of said Lot Thirteen (13) in
Block One (1) of Edmund Rice's Second Addition to the City
. of St. Pa.ul.
: The owner of the above described land, Edna Renf`ro, has accepted
� an offer tendered her by the City in the amount of $8,000.00 as
, compensation for the sale of the said land to the City.
' This property, including land a.nd buildings, is needed by the City
� of Saint Pau1 for the Acker Recreation Center. In view of the rea- '
. sonable price for which it can be purch�.sed, said price being the
; appraised fair and reasonable ma.rket value thereof, we, the Com-
: mittee on La,nds, do recommend to the Council of the City of Saint
Pa,ul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of con-
! demnation proceedin�s at the price of �8,000.00 as negotiated with
