' WHEREAS, The Co�nnittee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent,, the Cammissioner of Fina.nce, and the Commissioner of Paxks, Recreation,
and Public Buildings, of the City of Saint Paul, ]aa.s secured an agreement for
� the purcha.se of that certain property described as follows: , '

Addition of�0utlots to the City of St. Pa.ul, acc., , '

; WI�REAS, The property described therei.n is necessary for the proposed
` Collins-DeSoto,Playground, and the price at which the property may be purcha.sed
; is at the total_amount of $22,000, a fair and reasonable price according to the
appraisal obtained by the Co�ittee on Lands; and
Wf�REAS, Said Committee ha.s recommended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee sub-
mitted herewith; now, therefore, be. it
RESOLVID, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Chaxter of the City of Saint
Paul� the Council of the City of Saint Pa.ul does hereby authorize the purchase
of the land described as:

RESOLVED FURTHER That the proper City o�icials are hereby authorized and

sum of $22,000.00, said, sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor f`rom Fund
g768-501.-001, upon his furnishing evidence of good marketable title i.n the afore=
said vendor, and the tota,l payment to be made upon tender by said party of
appropriate deeds conveying title to said property to the City of Sai.nt Pa.ul.

• The City of Saint Paul, acting through its Valuation Engineer, has
- negotiated. to purchase certa.in property described as follows:

The owner of the above described land, Tir�y Tot Photo Co., Inc.,
has accepted an offer tendered by the City in the a.mount of.
$22,OO�J.00 as compensation for the sale of the said land to the
City. r
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City �
of Saint P,p.ul for the proposed Collins-DeSoto Pl.a.yground. In view
of �the reasonable price for which it can be purcha.sed, said,price
bein� the appraised fair and reasonable market value thereof, we,
the Committee on La.nds, do recommend to the Council of the City
of Sa�.nt Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land i.n lieu
of condemnation proceedings at the price of $22,000.00 as nego-
tiated with the owner. .
