conferred thereon; that the said assessment has been completed, and that hereto
attached, identified by the signature of the said Valuation and Assessment Engineer,
and made a part hereof, is the said assessment as completed by him, and which is

The hearing was called #o order at 10:02 am.
STAFF PRESENT: John Betz, Neighborhood Housing and Property Improvement (NF3Pn;
Steve Magner, NHPI; Racquel Naylor, City Council Offices; Harold Robinson, NHPI
Laid over summary abatements:
J0402E1 Excessive consumption of inspection services at 1053 Central Avenue West;
J0403A1 Property cleanup at 1956 Feronia Avenue.
1053 Central Avenue West
John Betz reported his office inspected this property and issued orders on Mazch 17, 2004, to the
owner and occupanis to remove an abandoned vehicle or conect the violations by March 24. On
the reinspecrion on Mazch 25, the vehicle was still in violation, so there was a$50 excessive
consumption fee chazged to the property.
Quanita Eilis, owner, appeazed and sta#ed the property transaction took place on Apri121. This
did not come up in the title seazch.
Ms. Moermond recommends deleting the assessment.
1956 Feronia Avenue
Mazcia Moermond stated this was for work done on April 13.
(A videotape was shown.)
when the owners had cleaned it.
Rebekah Brown, owner's attomey, 1350 Frontage Road South, Hastings, appeared and stated the
notice was received and the owner cleaned it up. The question is how did the City ciean it up
Ms. Moermond recommends approval of the assessment. In addition, she reqnested from staff a
list of sununary abatement issues for 2003 regarding 1956 Feronia Avenue, as the owner seems
to be confused about the summary abatements.
