In the Matter of condemning and taking for playground -purposes the following de-
scribed lands: Subject to easements, vacated alleys and streets accruing and the

under Preliminary Order 24�5/+9 _ approved October 9, 1968 .
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves: .
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with. � �
2. That the nature of the improvement whicli the Council recommends is
to condemn and take for playground purposes the foll�owing described lands: Subject �
to easements, vacated alleys and streets accruing and the following: Lot M, Soo Line
' Plat Number 1, Lots D and G, Soo Line Plat Number 2, a11 of Blocks 11, 12, 13 and 14,
Lots 1 through 12, Block 15, Lots 1 through 14, and, subject to alley, Lot 15, Block
16, "Merrills Division of Rice St. Villas". ,- .
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 345,000.00
" Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 2�th day of
December, 1968 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of "
said meeting to tlie persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of �
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated. �
