Advisory Board in con.jun.ction with the Metropolitan Transit

To the Honorable Members of the City Council
City of Saint Paul, Minnesota
Gentlemen:
The program of the Metropolitan Transit Commission is moving ahead
very rapidly. The members of this commission are making provisions
for many studies and grants to carry out the research and informational
programs that must go on. Because this is a metropolitan commission
and because we wish to have an evaluation in depth of the various
programs so that the Saint Paul interest will be met in the total
metropolitan program, I am appointing today a citizens committee to
act as an Advisory Board, if you will, for the metropolitan commission.
Such a citizens group rant only will serve the interests of Saint Paul
but also is a requirement for many grants that are presently available
for research and pilot studies in public transportation.
I ask your approval of the following appointments :
