WI-IEREAS, The ommittee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent,
the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings, and the Com-
missioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul, has secured an agreement for _
the purchase of that certain property described as follows: �

Lot nineteen (19) , Block two (2) , Edmund Rice's Second Addition -
to the City of St. Paul�, acc. ; �
WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the Acker ;Recreation
Center, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at tYie total .
amount of $1,950.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the appraisal
obtained by the Committee on Lands; and
WI�REAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the
price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee submitted
herewith; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint
Pau1, the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 does hereby authorize the pur-
chase of the land described 'as:

' to the City of St. Paul, acc. ;

RESOLVED Further that the proper city officials are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to Sterling Industries, Inc. , a corporation, record fee
owner, the sum of $1,950.00,' said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor
from Fund 9768'-501-002, upon its furnishing evidence of good marketable
title in the aforesaid vendor, and the total payment to be made upon tender
by 'said party of appropriate deeds conveying title to said property to the
� City of Saint Paul.
