That Chapter 325 of the Saint Paul Legislative Co,de be a.n.d the sa.me is hereby a.mended by adding a section to be de�signated as 325 .08 as follows: � 325 .08. RULES AND REGULATIONS. The City Health Officer shall make such rules and' regulations as are reasonably necessary to; the safe a.n.d sa.nitary, operation of Pet Shops. Such rules a.n.d regulations shall be effective when filed in the office of the Ci�ty Clerk an.d a,mendments thereof shall be effective twenty (20) days after being so filed. Violations of such regulations shall .be a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be sufficient grounds for revocation of any and all licenses issued pursuant to this C�apter. - � Section 2. ANIMAL HEALTH I A, �FEEDING - Animals shall be fed at least once each day. The food shall be �free from contamination, wholesome, palatable, and of sufficzent quantity �and nutritive value L-o meet the normal daily requireznents for the condition {and size of the animal. � � - B,� WATERING - If potable water is not accessible to animals at all times, potable liquids shall be offered to such anima.ls at least t«ice daily for periods of not less than 1 hour. i C, FOOD AND WATER RECEPTACLES - These xeceptacles shall be kept clean. ' � D. CLEANIl�TG - Excreta, spilled feed and �vater shall be removed from cages as often as necessary to prevent contaminatio�z of the animals therein ar_d Lo reduce hazards and odors. - E. SANITIZATION OF CAGES - Cages shall be cleaned and sanitized at least once every 2 weeks. Cages shall be cleaned and sanitized prior to their use by newly arrived animals. i F.� ACCEPTASLE METHOD�OF CLEANING AND SANITIZNG - Cages and � rooms may be cleaned by washing them �vith hot water (125° F. ) and soap or detergent follo�ved by a safe and effective disinfectant. Any other pro- cedure approved by the Healtli Officer may be ttsed, . G. DISEASED , I�JURED , LAME, OR BLIND - These animals shall be kept . separate and apart from ,all other normal appearing a.�iimals. Diseased or ' injured animals shall be provided with adequate medical care. REGULATION 3.
