WHEREAS, Min.nesota Transfer Railway Company has requested
permission to construct and exten.d egisting team track on Charles
Street in a northwesterly direction across Carlton Street to a
point 150 feet west of the westerly line of Car]ton Street and to
operate and maintain the same ; and
WHEREAS, The construction and egtension of said track as
soon as possible is a matter of extreme expediency and necessity '
to said Minnesota Transfer Railway Company; and
WHEREAS, An. ordinance, C. F. No. 2�+�56 granting
permission to said Minnesota Transfer Railway Company to proceed
with the construction and extension of an egisting team track and
the operation and maintenance of the same has been. prepared and
introduced to the Council of the City of Saint Paul on October 17 ,
1968, and has been read before the City Council, with eventual
adoption set to occur on 1Vovember 1 , 1968; now,
therefore , be it
RESOLVED, That in view of the egtreme urgency of the request,
the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed
to issue a_ permit to Minnesota Transfer Railway Company for the
construction and egtension of an egisting team track and for the
operation and maintenance of the same, subject to the same condi—
tions and requirements as set out in the ordinance, C. F. No.
��.Q(256 , pending before the Counc il of the City of Saint
Paul, informal approval of said construction and egtension and
said operation and mainten.ance being hereby given in anticipation
of the final adoption of said ordinance.
