- W�REAS, Stephen A. Gleason, Director of the Saint Paul Bureau
of Civil Defense, has requested permission to use the abandoned
building on Navy Island for storage of survival supplies on a tem-
porary basis; and
WHEREAS, The Coun.cil has entrusted the care of the said building
, - un.to the Department of Parks and Recreation. and Public Buildings, and �
the Commissioner of said department recommen.ds that the Bureau of
Civil Defense be allowed the temporary use of said building; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED•, That upon the recommendation of the Commissioner of
, Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings, the Bureau of Civil
Defense is hereby given permission to store Civil Defense survival
supplies in the abandoned building located on Navy Island (Raspberry
Tsland) , subject to the following terms and conditions:
a. The Bureau shall pay all costs of utilities
during the tenure of this permission;

building within sigty (60) days from receiving notice in
� writing thereof from the Commissioner of Parks and
Recreation and Public Buildings;

- c. � The use of the building is expressly subject to
the approva7. and supervision of the Commissioner of
Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings;
, d. The Bureau shall not be required to pay rent for
the use qf �he building;
e.' The Bureau shall not make use of the building
for any purPose other than that of storage of survival
supplies.
