Dear Sir:
This is ia regards to the application of Sheehy Construction Company
for permit to install a drive-thru dairy store on the south side of
Larpenteur Avenue between vacated Farrington Street and Virginia Street.
This property is further described as the northerly 217 feet of the
westerly 73.46 feet of Lot 2, and the northerly 217 feet of the easterly
26.54 feet of Lot 3, Block l, Edwin M. Ware's Cumberland Addition, Plat 2
except the north 67 feet thereof.
This matter was considered by the Board of Zoning at a public hearing
held on September 5, 1968. The staff reported that the plans will meet the
design standards if new plans are submitted showing the methods of drainage.
It wa��,'also reported that the Traffic Engineer recommends approval of the
permit if the driveways are increased to a width of 26 feet in the event
that they would carry two-way traffic. The applicant has stated that he
would submit new plans noting that the traffic would be one-way and that
one-way directional signs will be incorporated.
'I`herefore, the Board of Zoning recommended approval of the permit.
However, it should be noted that new plans incorporating the above mentioned
changes have not as yet been submitted to the Zoning Board office. The
Zoning Board staff:�ould recommend that the Council not grant the permit
until such plans are submitted.
