Formation of the City Council Ad Hoc Legislative Committee
1 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council is the policy making body for the City of Saint Paul, and as such, its work
2 is inextricably linked to the City's Legislarive Agenda; and
3 WHEREAS, federal and state legislation which affects the City of Saint Paul, should be reviewed by both the City
4 Council and the Administration to assess the impact such legislation will have, not only, on the City of Saint Paul's
5 activities, but also the policies which guide them; now therefore be it
7 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council does establish an Ad Hoc Legislative Committee:
8 • comprised of seven Councilmembers;
9 • three of whom will constitute a quonun;
10 • staffed by Council Research;
11 • will meet at least once a month and have its chair chosen by the Council President; and
12 • will meet in room 330 in the City Hall Building; and be it further
13 RESOLVED, that the City's Legislarive Lobbyist shall work with the Ad Hoc Legislative Committee in the early
14 stages of legislative agenda formation and shall, from to time to time, provide updates to the Ad Hoc Legislative
15 Committee about legislarion impacting the City.
