That the petitioners, their successors and assigns agree to indemnify, defend and save harmless
the City of Saint Paul, its officers and employees from all suits, actions or claims of any character
brought as a result of injuries or damages received or sustained by any person, persons or
property on account of this vacation or petitioners' use of this property, including but not limited
to, a claim brought because of any act of omission, neglect, or misconduct of said petiuoners or
because of any claims or liability arising from any violation of any law or regulation made in
accordance with the law, whether by the petitioners or any of their agents or employees.

I have reversed my opposition to the vacation, based upon a request from a
neighboring parcel owner to vacate part of Groveland Ave., north of
Oakridge. I intend to approve the Groveland request, which is in an area
already surrounded by development and improved streets, and believe that
denying the owners of 2050 and 2070 Oakridge a similar opportunity to
maximize their parcels would be di�cult to defend. I will, however,
continue to review vacation requests in the Point Douglas corridor from a
perspective that the City should be reluctant to release public
right-of-way that may be required for future utility or access routing and
currently serves as open space.

This street vacation is requested to correct faulty surveying done over the yeazs that has shorted
Lots 1, 2, and 3 of Block 16 by approximately 10 feet in the front, and 15 feet in the rear. These
3 lots have been re-split into 2larger lots, and both will be built upon eventually. We aze also
petitioning to have the utility rights to the properry waived by the city.
