WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Commission is hosting a meeting
on Wednesday, September.4, 2004 at Harriet Island on the Padelford River Boat
at 5:00 p.m., and g
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Commission has extended an
invitation to many groups, such as; the Minneapolis Park Board, Planning
Commission, Friends of Mississippi, Friends of the Parks, Great River
Greening, Ramsey County Park Commissioners, Metropolitan Council Parks and
Open Space, LCMR, St. Paul Delegation, National Park Service, National
Congress, Mayor and City Councilmembers, Audobon Society, Police Chief and
Assistant Police Chiefs, River£ront Board members and Como Zoological Society
Board members, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of the meeting is to discuss joint interests and
cooperation for the benefit of the St. Paul citizenry; and
1. Coordinate regional recreation issues.
2. Develop working relationship between various citizen and government
groups.
3. Develop a inter agency collaborative work plan for the upcoming year.
4. Discuss specific projects of mutual concern, and
WHEREAS, the Padelford River Boat will leave promptly at 5:30 p.m. for a river
cruise and return at approximately 8:30 p.m., and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to spend
$950 to provide appetizers for all attendees; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Parks and Recreation is authorized to expend
city funds on appetizers for those in attendance at the meeting.
