WHEREAS, The Research Committee desires to rent office space
at 977 Payne Avenue to be used in con.nection with the Neighborhood
Improvement Progra,m for Census Tracts g a.n.d 10; and

WI3EREAS, Entry upon the demised premises prior to a formal
lease � agreement is necessary to f acilitate important project work;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the
proper City officials are authorized to egecute a lease with C.
Sigurd Swanson for the rental of the above-described property for
office purposes, under the following terms an.d c'onditions:
l. Monthly rental not to egceed �250.00 per month,
including utilities;
2. A term of one year commencing October l , 1g68,
with an option to extend an.nually in the discretion of
the City up to and including July 31, 1971;
3. Such other terms and conditions as the Corporation
Counsel may approve; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That funds for this lease shall be expended
from Fund 35 , Activity Code 0985 , "Code Enforcement--Census Tracts
9 & 10" .
