� WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the
petition of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City
of ��aint Paul, Min.nesota, vacated Hatch Avenue from the east
line of Grotto Street to the west line of St. Albans� Street;
, also the alley in Block 5, Ware and H�ospes Addition, from the
nor�h line of Hatch Avenue to the northeast line of Lot 6, of
said block egtended southwesterly, pursuant to resolution C. F.
, 239399 approved July 10, 1968, said vacation subject to all the
� terms and-conditions of Section 228 of the St. Paul Legislative
Codi,,. as amended, and
� WHEREAS, the said resolution C. F. 239399 was subsequently
amended by the City Coun.cil by resolution C.F. 239581, approved
July. 26, 1968, and this subsequent amendment has made it difficult
for1the petitioner to comply with the terms contained in the vacation
petition within �he thirty day period required by Section 228.04,
Subdivision (e) , - and -therefore the petitioner has requested that '
the �City Council extend thi� time-, an additional thirty days;
now; therefore, be it '`�

; RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does _
hereby further a,mend said resolution C. F. 239399, ' approved July 10,
1g68�,- as amended, and the petitioner for said vacation, to—wit:
the� Housing and Redevelopment.. Authority of the City of Saint Paul,
Minnesota, shall be accorded thirty days from and after the date
of publication of this amending resolution in which to comply
with the legal requirements for vacation and discontinuance of
avenues and streets in the City of Saint Paul pursuant -to the
� Charter and pursuant to ordinances in such case made and provided.

Gentlemen:
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, respectfully
requests that your Honorable Body amend the above-referenced Council File which was adopted
� and approved on July 10, 1968, in order to allow an additional thirty (30) days to comply
therew ith.
The realon for making this request is that there were two errors in the original Resolution,
one being an error in printing the legal deacription of the propertq and the other being
an error' in overstating the area by some 5,399 square feet. These errors were corrected
by an amended Resolution of Julq 26, 1968. Because of the necessity of correcting these
errors, ,it is now extremely difficult to complete the necessary negotiationa with the
other pirties involved aad accept the terms of the original Resolution by August 10, 1968.
Your assistance and cooperation in granting additional tfine to comply with the conditions
of C.F: I239399 is greatly appreciated.
