WHEREAS, Seetion 356-b of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul
provides for a Commi.ssion to be appointed by the Mayor,
subject to the approval of the City Council, which
Commission shall determi.ne eligibles for appointment
as Chief of Police for the City of Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS , there exists a vacancy on said Commission, occasioned
� by the expiration of the six-year term of one of the
- . Commissioners on June 30 , 1968, and
1WHEREAS , Mayor Thomas R. Byrne has appointed, subject to the �
approval of the City Council, Mr. Wm. Zelle ,
; , 1311 Hartford Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota, to
' , fill the vacancy; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the appointment of Mr. Wm. Zelle for a six-year
term as a Commissioner pn the Police Commission, which �
term will expire June 30 , 1974, be and it is hereby
' ratified by the City Council.
