WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council ganted a noise variance to MA Mortenson, Co., to allow construction work
to take place ott the Muuiesota Public Radio (MPR) building at 45 7` St. E., under Council File #04-630; and
WHEREAS, M.A. Mortenson has requested that the hours duriug which the variance is granted be eartended to pernut
longer work days and to insure that the project is completed in a timely mamier; and
WFIEREAS, the Council has deteanined that the additional requested time is necessary to permit the construction to
proceed and will not cause undue hardship to the neighborhood; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby grants a variance for MA Mortenson, Co, to perinit
construction work on the MPR building at 45 7`" St. E., subject to the following conditions:

1) The variance shall be for the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday, and 9:0(J a.m through 5:00 p.m on Saturday, from June 13, 2004
through October 31, 2004.

MA Mor[enson, Co shall take all practical steps available to min;m;�e the noise levels duringthis period which
do not otherwise unduly hinder the project or unreasonably increase the costs of the project.
