Marshall City Clerk Room 386 City Hall Dear Sir: ' This is in regards to the application of Power Brake � Equipment, Incorporat�d for permit to install and operate a drive-in refreshment stand at the northeast corner of Rose and Prosperity Avenues. (See the a�tached legal description) This matter was considered by the Board of Zoning at a public hearing held on June 20, 1968. The staff reported that the proposal is to operate a drive-in franchised by a ehain of restaurants known as Arby's. Existing zoning in the area consists of Commercial to the northwest and south and "A" Residence to the east. � Mr. Fred Kueppers, Jr. , attorney for Mr. Mervin C. Anderson who owns the property to the east, spoke in opposition to the permit for a drive-in restaurant. He said the proximity of the drive-in restaurant would pre- clude the use of his client's site for apartment use and thought that the commercial property should be developed with a less intensive use . than a drive-in. He said that his client would not object to a w�lk-in restaurant: The staff reported that the �raffic Engineer had approved the plan from the traffic standpoint.
