WHEREAS, The Research Committee desires to rent office
space at 1185 Payne Avenue to commence operations with respect
to the Neighborhood Improvement Program relative to Census Tracts
9 and 10; and
WHEREAS, Immediate entry upon the demised property is
desired in order- to facilitate work on the project; and
WHEREAS, Entry upon the demised premises prior to a
formal lease agreement is necessary to facilitate important
project work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul
that the proper City officials are authorized to egecute a lease
with East Immari:u.el� Lutheran Church for the rental of the above—
described property for office purposes , under the following
� �-> terms and conditions:

� l. Monthly rental not to exceed �250.00 per month,
including utilities; -
2. Tenancy from month to month in July and August,
1968, with an option to terminate at the end of August if Federal
funding does not become available;
3. A term of one year commencing September l, 1968, with
, an option to extend annually in the discret�on of the City up to
and including August 31, 1971;
4. Such other terms and conditions as the Corporation
Coun.sel may approve; and be it

� FURTHER RESOLVED, That prior to formal egecution of
the aforesaid lease the City is authorized to agree with the
lessor to enter upon and use the premises, with rent payments
to commence as o� July 15, 1968, or prorated to such subsequent
date as the City may ac�.ially occupy the premises; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That fun.ds for this lease shall be
expended from Fund 35, Activity Code 0985, "Code En.forcement--
Census Tracts 9 & 10. " .
