• RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for Grading and Paving of Fairview Avenue,
(Marshall Avenue to University Avenue - P-325; University Avenue to Minnehaha
Avenue - P-353; M.S.A. Project No. 64-132-12) to PALDA & SONS, INCORPORATED,
for the contract price of $248,487.20 (plus Dept. of Public Safety - $1,000.00;
Engineering and Inspection 15% - 37,273;07; Water Dept. Charges - $5,000.00; and
Collection Charges - $310.00) such bid being the lowest and said Palda & Sons, Inc.
being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby
is directed to draft the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City
officialsrfhereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Saint Paul.
