In the matter of condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for the
slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support from sub�ect
land or .remainder thereof, occasioned by excavations thereof or construction of
slopes in the grading and surfacing with bituminous material the alley in Block 3,
of Hager's Subdivision of Lots 1-7 and 14-18 of Walcott's Additi,on to Cotrage flomes
from West Cottage Avenue to Arlington Avenue

The Commissioner of Finance having submitted his repoi~t in the above matter as to the amount
�of damages awarded for the taking of the land or easements therein appropriated for the above im- .
provement and to whom payable; and also having submitted his �ssessment of benefits to property
from the making of said improvement, therefore be it
F�esolved, That the said assessment of benefits be and the same is hereby approved.
I�esolved further, That a public hearing be had before the Council upon said report and for a con-
� firmation of the award of damages made by the Commissioner of Finance, and also upon the said as-
sessment of benefits; at the Council Chamber, in the Court House in the City of St. Paul on the
, twenty-first day of August, 1968 , at ten o'clock A.M, and that the Commis-
- sioner of Finance be ancl he is directed to give notice of said hearing as prescribed by the Charter.
