COU SO UfilO GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE ATF S, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent, and the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Paul, has secured an agreement for the pur- chase of that certain property described as follows: Lot Three (3) except the Northerly One hundred and one (101) feet thereof in and of Block Seven (7) of Merriam�T s Rearrangement of Merriam Park (as to Blocks 7, 8, 9, 10, & 16)� acc. ; and WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the expansion of Merriam Terrace Park, and the price at which the property may - be purchased is at the total amount of $14,000.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and , WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, -That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 does hereby authorize the purchase of the land described as: Lot Three (3) ex pt the Northerly One hundrecl and one (101) feet thereof in and of Block Seven (7) of Merriam' s Rearrangement of Merriam Park (as to Blocks 7, 8, 9, 10, & 16) acc. ; and RESOLVED Further that the proper city officials are hereby authorized and dixected to pay to Helen Putnam, record fee owner, the sum of $14,000.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor, from Fund 9767-501-004, upon her furnishing evidence of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendor, and the total payment to be made upon tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveying title to said property to the City of Saint Paul. The owner of the above described land, Helen Putnam, has accepted an offer tendered her by the City in the amount of $14,000.00 as , compensation for the sale of the said land to the City.
