Congratulating Mary Brockway ou the Occasion of her 105`" Birthday
2 Whereas, Mary Brockway has been a dedicated citizen of the City of Saint Paul for over 58 years; and
3 Whereas, Mary and her husband Clifford opened the Hazel Park Bakery on the corner of 7`" Street and Wlute Bear
4 Avenue in 1946 and continued to provide the neighborhood with exceptional bakery treats for over 15 yeazs; and,
5 Whereas, Mary has been a committed member of the community; she was actively involved in the White Bear
6 Avenue Business Association and has served as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1924 (80 years);
7 and
8 Whereas, Mary loves to travel, has been a prolific letter writer, and confinues to enjoy many social activities with
9 her friends at the Good Shepard Caze Center where she has lived since 1999; and
10 Whereas, Mary is devoted to her family including her four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-
11 great-grandchildren.
12 Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council congratulates Mary Brockway on the celebration
13 of her 105`� birthday and thanks Mary for her many contributions to our community.
