PAUL couNCi� OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FILE NO- • COU E OLUTION � N L FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE DATF WHEREAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent, and the Commissioner of Public Works of the City of Saint Pau1, has secured an agreement for the purchase of that certain property described as follows: Lot four (4) , Middents Rearrangement of Lots 1 and 2 of Block 29 of Lafond's Addition to Saint Paul, acc. WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the opening and widening of Marion Street from University Avenue to Como Avenue, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the total amount of $8,000, a fair and reasonable price according to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the -- -,...., City of Saint_Paul, the C.ouncil of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase -of the land described as: Lot four (4) , Middents Rearrangement of Lots 1 and 2 of Block 29 of Lafond's Addition to Saint Paul, acc. RESOLVED Further that the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay to Oscar Robins and Arthur E. Thom, Inc. , record fee owners, and Duane A. Bailey, contract for deed vendee, the sum of $8,000, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendors, from PIR Fund Code 6000, to be reimbursed from 1968 M.S.A. This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of Saint Pau1 for right-of-way for the opening and widening of Marion Street from University Avenue to Como Avenue.
