To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary order
of the Council known as Council File No. 238309 approved epril 26th. 19 68
relative to coastructing aew sidewalk on the eaat side of Van Dvke St. from Case Ave.
south approximatelv 705 ft. and bv doing all other work which ia neceaaarv and in-
cideatal to complete said �+•�rovemeat.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per lin, ft. for standard sidewalk 5 ft.
wide and $3.80 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6 ft. wide.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made a
part thereof. .
3. Initiated by the Commissioner of Public Works %
4. Improvement is asked for upon petition

Notice =s hereby given that the Council of the City of $t. Paul will
hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and
Court House at 10:00 �a.m. on June 25, ].968 on the
� advisability of proceeding with Preliminary Order 238309 , '
approved April 26, 1968 , which proposes to:
� construct nec,r side�aalk on the east s�de of V�:n Dyke St. from Gase Ave.
south approximately 705 ft.

The estimate3 cost thereof is $3.25 per lineal foot for a standard
" sidewalk 5 feet wide and $3.80 per lineal foot for a standard sidewalk
6 feet wide.
In addition to the above, char�es will be made for extra work which
i� a particular bene;;it to the abutting propa-�-ty, aLCh as tree removal,
poured concrete removal, driveways, and additionaZ width of walks, based
on the annual sic',ewalk contract prices on file in the Department of
Public Works.

Chambers at 9:30 a.m. , on the same day if you wish detailed information
re�arding the proposed sidewalk construction, or phone the eidewalk
