WHEREAS, The Automobile Club of Saint Paul has applied ;
for permission to suspend a banner at the intersection of Sixth !
and Wabasha Streets in the City o� Saint Paul from July l, 1968, �
through July 7, 1968, and from August 26, 1968, through September �
2, 1968, said banner containing the safety slogan "Bring Em Back �
Alive" ; and �
WHEREAS, The City Architect, by letter attached hereto, �
approves the location, size, design and hanging of said banner, �
and recommends the same to the City Council; now, therefore, be it �

RESOLVED, That the Coun.cil does hereby approve the �
application of Automobile Club of Saint Paul, and does hereby �
authorize and permit said Automobile Club to suspend its banner �
at the intersection of Sigth and Wabasha Streets from July l, 1968, �
through July 7, 1968, an.d from August. 26, 1968, through September ;
2, 1968, subject to all terms of the Saint Paul Legislative Code.

Gentlemen:
This department has received a request from the Automobile
Club of Saint Paul for permission to erect a banner sign across Wabasha
at the intersection of Sixth Street between the dates of Ju1y 1 and July 7, 1968
and between the dates of August 26 and September 2, 1968. The purpose
of their request for this banner is to express the need for safety over
the July 4 and Labor Day weekends.
' This office has investigated the request of the Automobile
Club and approves the location of the sign, its size, design and hanging .
and further recomYriends that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approve
the same and grant permission to the Automobile Club for the dates set
forth. � �
