• RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the award of the Contract
Committee therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, tools,
material, supplies and equipment necessary for cleaning and painting a�ll
noncontact metal surfaces of the superstructure, not including railings,
stairways or light posts, of the RESERVE STREET BRIDGE, M.H.D. Bridge No.
5950, which is approximately 904 feet in length comprised of rolled beam
sections and built up sections, with 30'-0" roadway, 8'-0" walk, and 2-3"
safety curb in accordance with the Specifications and Special Provisions -
to A. SHELGREN & SON, INC. for the contract price of $29,723.00 (�Plus
Engineering Charge - $2,377.84 and Inspection - $594.46) in accordance
c�ith plans and specifications and Formal Bid �2934 of said A. Shelgren &
Son, Inc. , such bid being the lowest and said bidder being a reasonable
and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby ,$is directed to
.draft the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby e�
are suthorized to execute sa�d contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul. .
