WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul, a municipal corporation,
accepted an offer from the United States Govern.ment for an advance
for preparation of plannin.g documents pertaining to a public work
described as preliminary planning, P—Minn. 3090, New Arena for
Civic Center, upon recommendation of the City Architect and the
� Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium and Civic Buildings, that
the plans comply with all applicable codes and regulations; and
WHEREAS, Convention Center Architects and Engineers,
Inc. was en.gaged to prepare the planning documents for the afore—
said public work and said architect has completed documents and
submitted them for approval; and
WHEREAS, The Civic. Center Commission has approved such
planning documents on May 16, 1g68, and recommended to the City
Council of the City of Saint Paul approval of said documents; and
WHEREAS, The completed planning documents have been
carefully studied and are considered to comprise adequate planning
for the public work essential to the commun.ity and within. the
financial ability of the City of Saint Paul to construct; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the _Council of the City of Saint Paul, the
governing body of said applicant, that the planning documents
submitted by Convention Center Architects and Engineers, Inc. as
the basis for detail plan.ning of the new Arena for the Civic
Center dated February 10, 1968, and the statements in form �
CFA430, Request for Review an.d Approval of Planning Documents,
in oonnection with Housing and Fiome Finance Agency, Project No.
3090, be and the same are hereby approved; and that certified
copies of this resolution be filed with the Housing and Home �
Finance Agency. FORM APPROVED
