W�REAS, In the matter of the group insurance p•rogram
now established for Saint Paul City employees group insured
under policies with The Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company,
insurer, Policy No . 365379, in effect prior to Januar y 1, 1968,
dividends have accumulated in the amount of �33,497. 00 by reason.
of favorable mortality egperien.ce during the past several years ;
and
WHEREAS, The Health and Welf are and Insurance Committee
of the City of Saint Paul, at its meeting on April 24, �968,
by motion unanimously adopted by the members present, recommends
to the City Council that said Council authorize that a portion
of such dividends be paid to those persons covered under the
employees group who were premium-paying insured on December 31,
1g67, and who had been continuously insured for �Q�.r months
prior to December 31, 1967, or who were continuously insured
during the anniversary year to a date at which they were com-
pelled to retire byjvirtue of mandatory retirement provisions
qf egistent law; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Effective January 1, ig68, that 50 percent of
the premium paid by each such insured during the period March
1, 1g67 through December 31, 1967, the total amount of all
� such refunds to eligible City employees, including those em-
� �� ployees covered during the anniversary year and who were
compelled to retire by virtue of mandatory �etirement provisions
� b of existent law, being in the approximate amount o� ;�,�32, 000,
� o' be returned to those employees described in the preceding para-
° � graph of this Resolution, such distribution to be made by The
'� < Min.nesota Mutual Life Insurance Company as soon as conven.i�ntly
