WHEREAS, on March 9, 20Q4, NHPI conducted an inspection of said property and issued a
Correcrion Notice far exterior maintenance, with a compliance deadline of March 24, 2004; and
WHEI2EAS, on Apri13, 2004, NI�PI conducted a reinspection of said property and found lack of
compliance with the previous order; and
WHEREAS, on Apri15, 2004, NHPI sent the holder of the rental registration certificate for the
subject property, Burdette Berntson, a$SO excessive consumption bill, addressed to 13845 Forest
Boulevard North, Hugo, MN 55038-8430, the address on said certificate; and
WHEREAS, AS OF May 12, 2004, said $50.00 has not been paid, and Legislative Code §51.06
(a) (v) provides that non-payxnent of fees for excessive consumption is grounds for certificate
revocation; and
WHEREAS, on Apri15, 2004, NIIPI notified Burdette Berntson of the need to arrange an
interior inspection of the subject property; and
WHEREAS, as of May 12, 2004, an interior inspection has not been axranged, and Legisiative
Code §51.07 (a) (iii) provides that the imposition of an excessive consumprion fee is grounds for an
interior inspection; and
WHEREAS, on May 17, 2004, NHPI sent Burdette Berntson the proper Notice of Intent to
Revoke Rental Registration (copy attached); and
WHEREAS, Burdette Berntson has not appealed said nofice and the time for filing an appeal has
expired; now therefore
BE TT RESOLVED, that based on the foregoing, the Saint Paul City Council hereby adopts the
following findings and order concerning the subject properiy at 2175 Temple Court:

1. That the subject property is a duplex rental property that is required to be regstered with
the City's Rental Registration Program.

That the holder of the Rental Registrarion Certificate for the subject property is Burdette
Berntson.
That said ceriificate holder has been billed for excessive consumption of code inspecrion
services, wluch has not been paid.
That said certificate holder has been requested to a11ow an interior inspecrion of the
subject property, which has not been arranged.
That the notification requirements of Chapter 51 have been fulfilled and the rime for an
appeal has expired without an appeal being made.

The Saint Paul City Council hereby makes the following order:

The above-referenced Rental Registration Certificate issued to Burdette Berntson for the
duplex rental property at 2175 Temple Court, Saint Paul, MN is hereby revoked.
It is further ordered tbat a copy of this resolution be mailed to Burdette Berntson.
