WSEREAS, There exists a dispute as to the correct amoun.t
which should have been charged to the St. Paul Winter Carnival
Association by the Department of Public Works, City of Saint
Paul, for services rendered to said Association for the Winter
Carnivals of 1964-65, 1965-66, and 1966-67; and
WHEREAS, There exists uncertainty as to which services
performed by the Department of Public Works during the three
� Winter Carnivals mentioned above were performed strictly for
the benefit of the Winter Carnival Association and which ser—
vices were rendered for the public benefit, and the Association
has offered to pay the sum of One Thousand Fiv.e Hundred Dollars
(�1, 500.00) to the City as full settlement of said charges out—
standing; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council o� the City of Saint Paul does
hereby concur in the recommendation of the Commissioner of Public
Works that the above offer be accepted, and the proper City
officers are hereby authorized and directed to accept the sum
of One Thousand, Five Flundred Dollars (�1, 500.00) from the St.
Paul Winter Carnival Association as full and complete payment
and settlement of Registered Bills No. 1-762, dated March 31,
1g65; No. 1-1258, dated February 7, 1966; and No. 1-422, dated
April 3, 1967.
