OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESOLUTION—GE ERAL FOR � � PRESENTED BY � COMMISSIONE � Y n� �1 `� � . ��;�-��L] L WHEREAS, The Council s sad ened by the death of Reverend Martin Luther King; and WHEREAS� The contribution of Doctor King to America is great and beyond measurement ; and WHEREAS� Doctor King in his life earned the admiration of Americans of all races and colors, and by his death has demonstrated to all of us the timeless truth of the words of Christ, "greater love than this no man hath: that he lay down. his life for his friends ; " now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of.� Saint Paul, that the City express its profound and sincere synTpathy to the family of Doctor Martin Luther King; and be it furthe r BESOLVED� That all flags flown by City departments and agencies shall be flown at half—staff from now through � the day of Doctor Kingts funeral; and be it further RESOLVED, That the City Clerk is directed to send a copy of this resolution to the family of Doctor Martin Luther King.
