1 WHEREAS, under the Minnesota I.aws of 2003, Chapter Z0, Section 5, Subdivision 3, which includes an appropriation to the
2 Metropolitan Council for Metro Regional Park Acquisirion and Betterment; a grant to the City of Saint Paul has been
3 awazded in the amount of $2,700,000 to complete the Como Pazk Conservatory refurbishment includ'mg the renovation of the
4 fem room, construcrion of a bonsai collection space, an orchid gowing and display house, and a children's activity zone, as
5 well as corridors and connecrions to the Education Resource Center; and
7 WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation is willing to provide construcrion management and implementation services for said
8 Conservatory refurbistunent upon the amendment of the 2004 Capital Impxovement Budget; and
10 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendarion of the
11 Mayoz, and the positive advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Commirtee, that $2,70Q000 is available for
12 appropriarion in the 2004 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2004 budget, as heretofore adopted and asnended by
13 Council, is hereby further amended as follows:

29 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and proper CiTy officials are hereby authorized to execute agreements with the
30 Metropolitan Council to accept and implement said grant.
