3 Ltd. and Sandra K. Kensy the suxn of $100,000 from the Tort Liability Fund, activity number 09070-0511,
4 in exchange for a full, final and complete settlement and release of all claims to date wiuch have or could
5 have been asserted in the summons and complaint served on the City Clerk on May 16, 2001.

Initiating Problem, Issues, Opportunity (Who, What, When, Where, Why):
Plainriff Julie Tossey brought suit against the City and others alleging she was discrinuvated against on the basis of her gender and
age,to prevern her from becoming a firefighter. It is agreed tUat the best interest of the City will be served by entering into the
proposed settlement agreement wluch calls for the payment of $100,000 to plaintiff in full, final and complete settlement and release of
all of her claims to date.
