The Commissioner of Public Works � having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Counci 1 known as Counci 1 Fi le �Vo. 236189
approved_ December 15, 19 67 relative to constructing publ ic storm sewer
in FARRINGTON ST, from Stinson St. to Atwater St.; in GALTIER ST. from Stinson St. to
Atwater St. ; in WAYZATA ST. from Marion St. to Galtier St. and in MILFORD ST. from Marion
St._ to Galtier St.. all of which is to be known as the BURGESS-FARRINGTON RELIEF SEWER
SYSTEM. v
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein� hereby
reports:

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of St. Paul will hold
a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House
at 10:00 a.m. on April 2, 1968, on the advisability of proceeding with
Preliminary Order 236189, approved December 15, 1967, which proposes to:
Conetruct public storm sewer in Farrington Street from Stinson Street
to Atwater Street; in Galtier Street from Stiason Street to Atwater Street;
in Wayzata Street £rom Marion Street to Galtier Street and in Milford Street
, from Marion Street to Galtier Street; all of which is to be known as the
BURGESS-FARRINGTON RELIEF SEWER SYSTEM.
The total estimated cost and method of financing this improvement are as
follcws:
Total eatimated cost $42,826.04
City share 29,101.04
Estimated property assessment $13,725.00
Your property lies within the drainage area.
The estimated property assessment is based on an estimated assessment
rate of $0.0075 (3/4 of a cent) per square foot of area for A & B
Residential property and $0.0125 (1-1/4 cents) per square foot of area
for Couanercial or apartment property plus $6.30 costs for each parcel
assessed.
If you wish detailed information regarding thfs proposed imprevement,
you are invited to meet with the technical advisors in Room 286, City
Hall, at 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. , the same day as the hearing.

Gentlemen:
During the rain storm last ni�ht the seavers couldn� t take the water.
The water got up to my Yront porch, and came in my bascment. Also my
back yard wa.s covered with water„ Cars couldn� t go by,
�iy ba�ement had water up to my second step, putt9:n� ou� my furnace,
hot water heater. Coul d smell �as �; had to open my windows. So I had
a cold night until Peters P�,umbin� on 5nellin� came today and had a
tirne gettin� the furnace to start again. N�eded all new electric
wires �e etc.
I have lived on this corner fc�r 57 Y�ars F� have been flooded out many
times, so �vould you please have the sewers clean�d out.
