WHEREAS, the consolidation plan provides for reclassification of roadways and corresponding changes in jurisdidion
including the transfer of local and State Aid roadways between the County and munieipalities; and

WHEREAS, Hoyt Avenue (County State Aid Highway 56) fmm Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue located in the City of
Saint Paul is presently under the jurisdiction of Ramsey County as a County State Aid Aighway; and
4VEiEREAS, this roadway has 6een determined to serve a local £unction only; and
WHEREAS, revocation of"County State Highway" status may be accomplished by resolution of the Ramsey County Board of
Comxnissioners pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §162.02; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Saint Paul that the streets hereinafter described upon tumback fmm
Ramsey county should be designated as Municipal State Aid Streets under the provisions of Minnesota Law;
Now, Therefore Be It
RESOLVED, The City of Saint Paul dces hereby concur with the Ramsey County Boazd of Commissioners revoking the
"County State Highway" status of Hoyt Avenue (County State Aid Highway 56) from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue, and
transfers jurisdiction over the roadway to the City of Saint Paul, effective after the County is in receipt of an adopted resolution
from the City of Saint Paul concurring with the County revoking the "County State Highway" status of Hoyt Avenue (County
State Highway 56) from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue; and Be It Farther
RESOLVED, that upon turnback to the City of Saint Paul &om Ramsey County the segment of Hoyt Avenue (County State Aighway
56) from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue be and is hereby established, located and designated as a Municipal State Aid Street
Aid Street of said City, subjeet to the approval of the Commissiuner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota; and Be It Further
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul Engineer is authorized within the limits of this resolution to take actions necessary to have the
identified jurisdiction changes executed.

Hoyt Avenue (County State Aid Highway 56) from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avnue is currently under the jurisdiction of
Ramsey County as a County State Aid Highway . This roadway has has been determined to serve a more local function
and as such will be turned back to the City of Saint Paul and redesignated as a Municipal State Aid Street.
