RESOLVED, That the Council hereby �pproves the award of the Contract
Committee therefor, and hereby gwards contract for furnishing all labor,
material, machines, tools and equipment for constructing, repairing or
reconstructing such monolithic coiCrete sidewalks and other work incidental
thereto, within SIDEWALK DISTRICT N0. 1,, as may be ordered by the Council
for the current year prior to November 15, 1968, except such work as the
Council may order to be done by City Force Account, to J. AND P. CONSTRUGTI�i
COMPANY for the contract price of $122,024.00 (at unit prices bid) plus
Engineering - $12,202.40 and Inspection - $2,440.48 by City Forces, in
accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and
the Formal Bid #2778 of said J. and P. Construction Company, such bid being
the lowest and said J. & P. Construction Company being a reasonable and
reliable bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to
draft the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials
hereby are suthor3rzed to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul.
