WHEREAS , Robert Lick, an employee of the Department of
Public Safety , Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party
accident on November 9 , 1966 , while engaged in the performance
of his duties f or said Bureau; and
WHEREAS , the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of $1,558. 15 therefor� and said employee was disabled from work
for a period of time , being paid salary in the amount of $1,866 .29 ;
and
WHEREAS , a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident, which
provides for a net settlemerit to the City in the amount of $2 ,000.00�
now, therefore , be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized
to accept in full, final and complete settlement of its claim
herein the sum of $2 ,000 .00 and to execute any necessary releases
therefor, and endorse Check No. 2160 of 0' Conn,�r� Collins and
Abramson; that of said amount, $1,100 .00 is thereby credited to
the Police Salary Fund and $900.00 to the Workmen's Compensation
