DALGLISH, Commissioner LOUIS H.McKENNA, Depu+y Commissioner Phone:223-4b46 February 13, 1968 To the Honorable Mayor and Council Gentlemen: In conformance with the original terms of the contract covering the sale of a portion of the Old Workhouse site to the R and W Realty Company, escrow deposits were made based on esti.mates of assessments to be levied for local improvements. At this tixne the assessments have been levied, and there remain unused balances of such escrow deposits made for certain lots in South Battle Creek Heights, as follows: Lot Block Escrow Balance 14 2 $ 323.70 15 2 323.70 17 2 323.70 2 3 2+5.46 3 3 206.35 $1,422.g1 The major portion of these balances are occasioned bf the fact that sidewalks were constructed and paid for under private contracts and the remainder by assessments in lesser amounts than those originally e st itnat ed. It is recommended that a reflznd in the total sum of $1,422.91 be made to the R and W Realty Company. Respectfully submitted, . < ,.Gc-c-y Forest W.
