WHEREAS, The Gity is the donee of a deed of gift from
the Ford Motor Company of that real estate situated in the
City of Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota,
being described generally as follows:
The South 250 feet of the North
1530. 54 feet of Lot 1, Auditor' s
Subdivision No. 8'7, lying East
of a line 671.4 feet West of and
parallel to the East line of
Section 17, T. 28 N. , R. 23 W. ,
subject to Cleveland Avenue,
according to the plat thereof on
file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds within
and for said County;
and
WHEREAS, The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the
City of Saint Paul is desirous of acquiring the above—described
parcel in fee simple from the City for the purpose of con—
structin.g and maintainin.g thereon public h��;xsing for the
� elderly; now, ti�erefore, be it

R�SOLVED, That the City hereby agrees to convey to the
Authority by properly executed quit claim deed all its right,
title and interest presently held ar�.d hereinafter aequired in
said property as described above excepting therefrom the rights
held by the City in Cleveland Avenue. The agreement to convey
the property shall be subject to sucYi terms and conditions as
will be mutually satisfactory to both parties; be it

FUR.THER RESOLVED, That should the City and the Authority
be unable to agree to the conditions and terms of such
conveyan.ce within six months, the City consents to the
Authority acquisition of such property by eminent domain
proceedings pursuant to M.S. 1967, Chapter 462. 445; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That in oonsideration of the Authority' s
undertaking to prosecute and expedite with due diligence the
construction of housing for the elderly on the above-described
property, the City hereby grants unto said Authority the right
to enter upon said Housing Site and to construct therein housing
for the elderly and that said right of entry and permit to
construct shall be effective as of 12:01 a.m. , Central Standard
Time, Thursday, February 15, 1968.
