RESOLVED FiJRTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city oflicials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary order
of the Council known as Council Ffle No. 23(320 approved Dec. 22nd. 19 67
relative to reconstructintz the sidewalk and replace with integral curb and sidet�alk_
on both sides of Grand Ave from Macalester St to Cambridg� St and bv doin�,all other
work which is necessar3� and incidental to comulete said imArovement.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reportse
1. The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 5 ft.
wide and $3.80 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6 ft. wide. , $1.10 per sq.
ft. for integral curb and sidewalk.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made a
part thereof.
