WIIEREAS, the National Association of Human Rights Workers was founded in 1947 to provide for the
educational and training needs of professionals working in the field of civiUhuman rights enforcement
throughout the world; and
4 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul will be the host city for the Fifly-Seventh Annual Conference of the National
5 Association of Human Rights Workers in which over 200 civil/human rights workers will be at the Radisson
6 Riverfront Hotel from October 1, 2004 through October 7, 2004; and
7 WHEREAS, the theme for the 2004 National Association far Human Rights Workers annual conference is, "Let
8 Justice Roll Down Like The Mighty Mississippi River;" now therefore be it
9 RESOLVED, that the Council recognizes the collaborative efforts of the staff of the Radisson Hotel, City of
10 Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Saint Paul Department of Human Rights; and be it fiuther
11 RESOLVED, that the City will make available the services of its Marketing o�ce as requested by the
12 organization, to ensure that this event huly reflects the commitment of our community to the success of the
13 Fifty-Seventh Annual National Association of Human Rights Workers Conference.
