Paul Police Department was approached by the St. Paui Building Owners and 2 Managers Association (BOMA) about esploring the use of a Segway personal transportation device in 3 the Downtown Patrol Unit; and WHEREAS, BOMA has offered to donate a Segway, $4,500 value, for use in the downtown and sliyway system; and 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to assist police personnel by increasing their efficiency in responding to calls for service in a proactive and creative manner for those who live, work, and visit the central business district of St. Paul; and WHEREAS, the St. Paul Police Department would like to accept this donation from BOMA; and BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul accepts this generous donation and extends its sincere thanks to BOMA.
